These young musicians just get better each time we see them, and Austin, Derek, Nick and Chris have spent the past year traveling to Nashville, California and regional festivals, recording their second CD, and performing and growing as artists. Seeing them in action is worth the price of admission!
But there's a whole jam-packed evening of musical entertainment planned for the Saturday night show. Runaway Train bluegrass band makes a return trip to the Everett Theatre stage, while a couple of unique acts make their Hootenanny debut.
Representing the Americana part of the evening, the Canote Brothers think of themselves as links in the chain of musical brother duets like the Stanley Brothers, the Blue Sky Boys, Sam and Kirk Magee or the Everlys. With one foot firmly planted in the traditions of American Roots music, they also have an ear tuned to the novel and the quirky.
But wait - theres more! Offering an unexpected vocal quality and vintage ragtime sensibilities, the Beehive Juggernauts employ spoons, washboards and cigar boxes as musical instruments in a fun and totally unique presentation.
Advance tickets for the Hometown Hootenanny are priced at $16.50 for adults, $13 for seniors and students, and $5 for kids 12 and under. A special family package of two adult and two child/student tickets (up to age 18) is available online only at the reduced price of $39.50.
